Wescan Audiometric Health, an associate of Daltec
Occupational Health Services, has been providing hearing conservation
programs to industry for over 23 years.Hearing Tests are
conducted on a mobile or in-office basis in a C.S.A. approved sound
booth, using a calibrated C.S.A. approved audiometer. Audiometric
tests are performed by certified audiometric technicians who will
provide accurate tests as well as counseling to each employee.
Reporting:
Once
audiometric testing is finished, comprehensive reports are completed.
All test results are compiled, maintained and stored on computer. Your
company receives the original audiogram as well as a computerized
report, which places each employee that has been tested into the
appropriate classes of hearing ability. Each employee receives a copy
of the audiogram, as well as a letter interpreting the results of the
test that may recommend further advice or follow-up. Individuals with
abnormal test results will be referred to their family physician, who
may then refer them to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist or to an
Audiologist.

throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, and as we have a client base of
over 500 companies, we can divide travel costs between participating
clients, to make our services very cost-effective.

Audiometric Health offers mobile single test units whichcontain
a state-of-the-art, sound-proof booth and a calibrated CSA approved
audiometer. We do not offer multi-test units at this time, as we
believe that single-unit testing allows us to better focus on the
individual, offering superior testing and the ability to counsel and
educate your employees on the importance of proper hearing protection
both at work and in the home. We can address employee questions and
concerns immediately, and there is little or no chance of employee
error. Through single unit testing, we are able to process
approximately 8 employees per hour.
