The Mini- Medical

The Mini-medical provides high turn-around industries with an efficient, cost effective method of providing excellence in health assessments, which are designed to meet each individual’s job description.

Daltec Occupational Health designed this health assessment for those companies with high turn around; and for those who wish to maintain the benefits of a pre-placement health assessment. It is designed for to meet the individual requirements of specific industries. The Mini-Medical has proven to be a very popular addition to the occupational health programs of many of our clients. The cost of this examination is less than that of a pre-placement health assessment and consists of the following tests:

1. Health history (pages 1, 2 and half of 3) are completed by the applicant and reviewed by the examining nurse.

2. General appearance, height and weight.

3. Far vision, near vision and peripheral vision

4. Blood pressure, pulse rate

5. Endurance assessment (where applicable)

6. Kraus- Weber back strength/ flexibility rating

7. Shoulder, wrist and elbow assessment where applicable

An immediate opinion as to the fitness of the applicant is reported to the company official. In Calgary, we offer walk-in service; in our other areas, we are usually able to provide same day service. Daltec’s Medical Director sends a written report to the company following a review.
